Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation reports more than $350 million in South Florida giving since 2015

The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation reported more than $350 million in total family giving since it began structured philanthropy in South Florida.
The foundation released the figures in a new report titled “The Art of Giving A Legacy of Impact by The Jorge M. Pérez Family.” It lists contributions across arts and culture, education, health and well-being, economic development, and the environment.
The report was released Wednesday during WLRN’s Sunshine Economy Summit. Jorge M. Pérez, the billionaire developer and co-founder of The Related Group, appeared at the event with Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Broward, to discuss philanthropy in the region.
The foundation was established in 2015 as a donor-advised fund at The Miami Foundation. Its stated aim is to help shape South Florida into a more equitable cultural and civic center.
The report lists arts and culture, education, health and well-being, economic development, and the environment as areas of support.
The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation did not immediately provide a breakdown of specific grants or recipient organizations beyond the broad categories listed in the report.
