Doral police arrest man found under hotel bed at Provident Doral

A 25-year-old man is facing charges after a woman found him hiding underneath her bed at the Provident Doral hotel, Doral police said.

Ritchel Calvaire was arrested on Sept. 10 and charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and resisting an officer without violence, police said. According to an arrest report, Calvaire jumped over a balcony fence and entered the room through the rear glass sliding door while the victims were asleep.

The victim told police she woke up around 4 a.m. after feeling movement near the bed, but fell back asleep. At 6:30 a.m., she felt movement again. More than an hour later, she looked under the bed and saw Calvaire.

"The defendant subsequently concealed himself stealthily underneath the victims' bed while the victims remained asleep inside the room throughout the night," the arrest report said.

Property management told police that Calvaire had stayed at the hotel just days before and had been told not to return.
